What it checks

One engine for search engines, answer engines and AI assistants

Your pages are no longer read only by Googlebot. Answer boxes lift a paragraph, AI assistants summarise instead of linking, and each of them reads the page differently. Silver Warden checks all three on the same pages, in the same run.

SEO

Search engine optimization

Can search engines reach, index and understand every page?

  • Status codes, soft 404s, redirects and broken links
  • robots.txt, sitemaps, canonicals and hreflang
  • Titles, descriptions, headings and social tags
  • Product, Offer, Organization and Breadcrumb markup

AEO

Answer engine optimization

Can an answer engine quote the page directly?

  • A direct answer near the top of the page
  • Question headings and clear definitions
  • Steps, lists and comparisons with real structure
  • FAQ markup where the page asks questions

GEO

Generative engine optimization

Do AI assistants get the page your customers get?

  • Each template fetched as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot
  • Empty shells, missing prices and missing headings, per template
  • Your robots.txt policy for AI crawlers, checked for coherence
  • An llms.txt proposal built from your own site graph
How it works

The night shift

While your team sleeps, Silver Warden reads, checks, reconciles and reports. By morning the list is ready, and every line on it can be traced back to what the crawler saw.

  1. 01

    Read

A budget of pages per site, fetched the way a search engine fetches them. The sample rotates, pages never read first and then the ones read longest ago, so the whole site takes its turn. A status sweep covers a wider set of URLs.

  2. 02

    Check

300+ specialists in six families go over what was read. Each template is fetched again as AI crawlers, and the two versions of the page are compared.

  3. 03

    Reconcile

Every finding has a stable identity. New problems open, fixed ones close only after a re-read, and a problem that comes back is flagged as a regression.

  4. 04

    Report

The control center is updated, the night's summary is written, and a watchdog flags what needs attention: new critical findings, sudden spikes, a site that could not be read.

Why the list holds

Findings you can trust

A monitoring tool is only as useful as its list is believable. Silver Warden keeps the list short, stable and verifiable.

Closed means re-read

A finding is closed only when the crawler has gone back to the pages in scope and the problem is gone. The closure keeps a receipt: which pages were re-read, and what they showed.

Regressions are events

When a fixed problem comes back it is not a new finding. It reopens as a regression, with the date it was closed, at the top of the morning report.

Done is double-checked

When the team marks a finding done, the crawler keeps looking. If it still sees the problem on the next night, the finding says so instead of quietly disappearing.

One engine, versioned and tested

Every specialist is tested against a site with planted defects and against a corpus of healthy pages that must stay clean. Every run is stamped with the engine version and a fingerprint of the catalogue, so a change in the numbers can be told apart from a change in the rules.

The specialists

300+ specialists, six families

Each specialist watches for one kind of problem, and every finding it raises carries a stable identity, a severity and the team that owns the fix. The catalogue is versioned with the engine, so this month's results can be compared with last month's.

01

Indexing

Can it be crawled and indexed?

  • Server errors and soft 404s
  • Redirect chains and loops
  • robots.txt and sitemap health
02

On-page

Does each page say what it is?

  • Missing or duplicate titles
  • Canonicals pointing elsewhere
  • hreflang without a return link
03

Structured data

Can machines read the facts?

  • Price in the markup differs from the page
  • Product without an Offer
  • Organization without identity
04

GEO

Do AI crawlers get the real page?

  • Empty shell served to AI crawlers
  • Price or headings missing for AI
  • Contradictory AI crawler policy
05

AEO

Can an answer engine quote it?

  • No direct answer near the top
  • Steps without list structure
  • Questions without FAQ markup
06

Search data

What does Google show that the crawl missed?

  • Pages with impressions the crawl never reached
  • Impressions on hosts outside the perimeter

The control center

From finding to fix

The control center is where the night's work becomes your team's day: sorted by severity, grouped by template, with a proposed fix on the page where it applies.

  • Fix proposals

Page-level proposals: the title to rewrite, the tag to add, the structured data to complete.

  • Work packages

Export the open work for one team, as Markdown for tickets or CSV for spreadsheets.

  • Health and Core Web Vitals

A health score per site, and real-user LCP, INP and CLS from the Chrome UX Report.

  • Findings history

Open findings night after night, by severity, with the team's notes on the days that matter, such as a release or a campaign going live.

  • Triage together

Statuses and comments shared by the whole team: done, false positive, won't fix, snoozed.

  • Your brand, your people

Run the control center under your product name and colours, and give each user only the domains they need.

Synapses

Your site, drawn the way the crawler walks it

Every page is a node, every internal link a line, and depth is measured from the home page. Switch to Analyze and the pages with open problems light up by severity.

Each template gets an AI visibility score, and the same graph feeds a proposed llms.txt, built from the pages that matter and ready to review.

Home Page Page with an open finding
The crawler

A crawler with manners

Silver Warden reads public pages only, from outside, and behaves the way you would want a crawler to behave on your own site.

How the crawler identifies itself, and how to limit it
  • robots.txt is binding, and Crawl-delay is honoured.
  • A few connections per host at most, with a pause between requests.
  • A 403, a 429 or a challenge page stops the run for that host. No proxies, no identity switching, no retries in a loop.
  • Page reads are bounded in size, and links that leave the monitored site are recorded, not followed.
FAQ

Questions, answered

What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?

SEO makes a page reachable and understandable for search engines. AEO shapes the content so that an answer engine can quote it directly. GEO makes sure generative AI assistants receive the same content your visitors see, and are allowed to use it. Silver Warden checks all three on the same pages, in the same run.

How often does Silver Warden check a site?

Every night. Each run reads a budget of pages that rotates through the site, pages never read first, and a status sweep covers a wider set of URLs. New findings, closures and regressions are in the control center by morning.

Do we need to install anything on our site?

No. Silver Warden reads your public pages from outside, as a search engine does. Core Web Vitals come from the public Chrome UX Report, and Search Console data can be added to find pages that Google shows but the crawl has not reached.

Will the crawler slow our site down?

It keeps to a few connections per host with a pause between requests, honours Crawl-delay, and stops for that host on a 403, a 429 or a challenge page. The crawler page explains how to limit it or block it with robots.txt.

When is a finding closed?

Only when the crawler has re-read the pages in scope and the problem is gone, and the closure keeps a receipt of what was seen. If the team marks a finding done while the crawler still sees it, the control center says so, and a closed problem that comes back reopens as a regression.

Which AI crawlers does Silver Warden look at?

Templates are fetched as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot and compared with the page the main crawl receives. Your robots.txt policy is mapped for 15 AI crawlers, from training bots to live assistants, and checked for contradictions.

Who is Silver Warden for?

SEO, content and engineering teams that run large websites, such as e-commerce catalogues, store networks and service providers, where thousands of templated pages change every week and one broken template can cost more than any single page.

Can the control center carry our brand?

Yes. The control center can run under your product name, tagline and colours, and each user sees only the domains assigned to them, so an agency can give every client a view of its own sites and nothing else.
